Don Parker

Don Parker, a Sarasota native, has been studying and performing on the trombone for almost 40 years.  A former student of locally renowned educator Andy Wright, Don went on to study with Sarasotan Ron Anson and obtained a BM degree in Trombone Performance from the Swinney Conservatory of Music.  Have grown into a tradition of well rounded style and technique, he toured the United States for over 19 years with many shows, including the famous Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus for 13+ years as assistant conductor.  Don can be found performing freelance with many area groups including the Sarasota Jazz Project Big Band, The Jazz Legacy Big Band, the VSO (+School out reach clinician), The Asolo rep. and the Venice Theater.
